My bright colorful work is unique because it evokes a playful happy mood - reminiscent of the joys of childhood. A reminder that life does not always have to contain the stresses and pain that surrounds us.
Millie has won many awards in juried exhibitions and invitational shows in Colorado and across the country. Her work is in both corporate and private collections and galleries throughout the country and abroad. She is a former member of the Depot Art Center, Rocky Mountain Chapter of the National Home Fashion League, and Colors of Colorado. She is a signature member of the Colorado Watercolor Society. Millie's style combines different techniques and materials into a dimensional mixed media which she calls dimensional construction. She builds with colors, forms and shapes adding layers and patterns often with objects and simple materials. Her ultimate goal is to create a mood or sensation what will express energy, fantasy or whatever emotion that will form a relationship with the viewer.
