“My inspiration for this piece is New York City; the art, music, culture and mor e specifically the browns tone buildings that populate many of the city’s neighbor hoods. It was important to emphasize the contrast between the curves of the viola and the architectural structure of the buildings.”

Jessica Brown is an emerging artist from Saint Louis, Missouri. She graduated from William Woods University with a BFA in Studio Art and a BA in Psychology. She is currently pursuing her Master’s degree in Professional Counseling from Lindenwood University.  She will eventually work in the field of Art Therapy. Her paintings feature the technique known as continuous line, one fluid line that explores each contour of the subject. Jessica’s inspiration comes from life experiences and the resulting emotions, both personal and imagined. “Art, for me, has always been a positive way to deal with emotions and life experiences.”  Contact information: This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
