Julie Leidel

“Like most of my artwork, this painted violin is meant to evoke a feeling of yesteryear. The art movements of the past believed in creating heirloom artwork with your head, heart and hands. Through the use of enamel-based paint, this Art Nouveau design complements the canvas of instrument which brings art and music together, and elevates the spirit.”

Julie Leidel is a Roycroft Renaissance Artisan specializing in creating revivalist art inspired by the Art Nouveau and Arts & Crafts Movements (1880-1920). She is a board member of the Colorado Arts & Crafts Society, and is a member of the Foothills Art Center and Evergreen Artists Association. Much of her Colorado work is inspired by the WPA National Park posters and she has over 50 paintings from all over the state. Julie works full time as an artist, and exhibits her work in 16-18 Colorado fine art festivals annually and nationally in CA, OH, NC and NY.
