Patricia Aaron
“I decided to re-energize the retired violin with renewed life in the form of an urban messenger bag based on my interest in popular culture and street art. The messenger bag, Tag bag, is painted with pigmented wax and ink, stuffed with shredded city maps and outfitted with a leather strap. One side has the focus of city grids while the other with an emphasis on street art. The mark-making language used in street art is as individual as is the presence of lettering style, inks and colors.”
